Belle et rare Gibson ES-140 3/4 T, en excellent état d’origine.
Cette guitare peut être considérée comme une version réduite de la ES-175, avec un format plus petit et un diapason plus court.
Apparue tout d’abord sous forme non-thinline en 1950, la ES-140 3/4 T est introduite au catalogue en 1957, l’année de fabrication de la guitare présentée. Gibson vante alors un instrument conçu pour les enfants ou les adultes à petites mains (sic.) avec toutes les qualités d’un instrument professionnel dont le format permet un grand confort de jeu, notamment grâce au manche short scale – en somme, nous sommes tenus de ne pas nous fier aux apparences !
Table, fond et éclisses en érable, manche en acajou, belle touche en palissandre. La guitare a toutes ses pièces d’origine, des mécaniques Kluson Deluxe au chevalet ajustable en palissandre, en passant par le câblage et l’électronique. Ces derniers sont d’une simplicité absolue, permettant le raccord d’un seul P-90 avec un son brut et franc qui est l’apanage de ce type de micro.
Préparée et réglée par nos soins, en parfait état de jeu. Dans son bel étui Lifton d’origine.

Beautiful and rare Gibson ES-140 3/4 T, in excellent original condition.
This guitar can be considered a scaled down version of the ES-175, with a smaller size and shorter scale length.
After a first appearance in a non-thinline form in 1950, the ES-140 3/4 T is introduced to the catalog in 1957, the year of manufacture of the present guitar. Gibson boasted an instrument designed for children or adults with small hands (sic.) with all of the qualities of a professional instrument, and a format allowing for great playing comfort in particular thanks to the short scale neck – in short, we are not to trust appearances!
Maple top, back and sides, mahogany neck, beautiful rosewood fingerboard. The guitar has all its original parts, from the Kluson Deluxe tuners to the adjustable rosewood bridge, including wiring and electronics. The latter are of absolute simplicity, allowing the connection of a single P-90 with a raw and clear sound which characterizes this type of pickup.
Complete professional setup done in our workshop, in perfect playing condition. Comes in its beautiful original Lifton case.
