This magnificent archtop, queen of Gibson archtops with its 18 inch body-width, is among the most luxurious models offered throughout its entire production period – when it was introduced in 1943, it was the the most expensive available in the catalog. Here in its CES electric version (Cutaway Electric Spanish) offered starting in 1951, the guitar is equipped with its two Patent No. humbucker pickups, its Y-shaped tailpiece bearing the name of the model, its beautiful Kluson Sealfast tuners. Solid spruce top, flame maple back and sides, all in a beautiful Natural finish.
Top joint repair and varnish correction under the tailpiece, non-original potentiometers. The pick guard is made in copy of the original, which is kept in the case due to the degradation. Complete professional setup done in our workshop, in perfect playing condition.
In a modern fitted hardshell case.
