Beautiful Martin/Stauffer 00-40 from 1997, in very good condition.

This guitar was produced in very limited quantities – only 75 were ever made, of which this is #32. It takes after the instruments known as “Stauffer” guitars, produced by C. F. Martin in the 1830s and inspired by the work Austrian luthier Johann Georg Stauffer, under whom he studied prior to emigrating to the United Stated. Most notably, it sports the long, curvated Stauffer headstock with all the tuners aligned on the same side, and comes in a coffin case.

Body is typical of style 40 – spruce top, rosewood sides and back, ivoroid and pearl binding. Snowflake fretboard inlays borrowed from style 45.

Complete professional setup done at our workshop.
