1966 MARTIN D-28

A stunning 1966 Martin D-28, in very good condition.

This is the quintessential dreadnought model, coming to us straight from the mid-60s, right at the onset of Martin’s “guitar boom” which saw a significant increase in their yearly instrument production totals. Despite this, the quality and care taken during the construction of this instrument have not suffered one bit: magnificent figured Brazilian rosewood sides and back, spruce top with fine and lightly crackled varnish, original Grover Rotomatic Pat. Pend. tuners, multi-ply binding on the sides and back, chain-link pattern on the back strip… so many elements that make this a timeless icon of the flat-top guitar.

This guitar was essentially spared from the marks and dents that usually afflict vintage Martins. A neck reset was recently done, so it has a strong projection and rich tone with optimal pressure on the bridge nut. Complete professional done at our workshop, ready to be played.
In a modern Martin hardcase.
